3 Basic Chords for Ukulele

Every newbie starts with the three basic chords, so let’s begin!

Am Chord — 4th string on a 2nd fret with a middle finger.

Dm Chord — 2nd string on the 1st fret with an index finger, 3rd string on a 2nd fret with a ring finger and a 4th string on a 2nd fret with a middle finger.

E Chord — 4th string on the 1st fret with a thumb, 1st string on a 2nd fret with a middle finger and 3rd string on a 4th fret with a pinky.

(E Chord can also be held differently if you so wish)

I hope that you already got what a fret is and where each string is situated. You can also place your strings with any other fingers, as long as it’s comfortable for you!
